„DJ AM started collecting sneakers 10 years ago and amassed a collection close to 900 pairs. One of the most avid and premiere collectors in the world, AM became recognized fpr his expertise in sneakers and was respected worldwide for his extensive collection.

The DJ AM memorial fund maintains the legacy of Adam Goldstein and his commitment to helping others struggling with addiction. Utilizing media partnership to garner support and increase awareness, contributions will help organizations and projects committed to addressing issues of addiction and recovery.

100% of the proceeds of the sales from these auctions will go to the fund.

The auction begins at 4:30 PM PST on Sunday, November 15th.

New shoes will be added every evening through the first week of December, so check back often.“

Nach dem 1 of 1 Nike Air Yeezy for Doernbecher (ca. 16.000 Eus) vor einigen Monaten, gibt eb ab Sonntag eine weitere eBay-Auktion der Extraklasse. Natürlich wieder für einen guten Zweck. Diesmal handelt es sich um die komplette Sneakersammlung (angeblich ca. 600 Paar) des im August verstorbenen DJ AM (Adam Goldstein). Der komplette Erlös der Auktion(en) geht in den DJ AM Memorial Fund. Eine Organisation, die Menschen mit Süchten hilft und die Erinnerung an Adam Goldstein aufrecht erhält. Ob es sich um eine oder mehrere Auktion handeln wird ist noch nicht bekannt.

Bekannt wurde Goldstein vor allem durch seine Beziehung zu Nicole Richie und die Zusammenarbeit mit Blink 182 Schlagzeuger Travis Barker, mit dem er im September 2008 einen Flugzeugabsturz, bei dem vier Menschen ums Leben kamen, überlebte.
